Then there’s Daria, the Downs Syndrome student, who is a witness to what happened. And a lot of people backed up close to the wall when I walked by.
This is a short fast paced story told from three distinctly different points of view. I think I write for young-adults because I never quite got over being one. I like and dislike this book.

It has a lot more telling than showing, which I don’t prefer, but that probably makes it more appealing to a segment of the teen readership, so that’s positive. He’s very up front about not liking Alex and wishing he would go away, but you’re left wondering whether or not he’d actually go this far. We need more books like this.
Perhaps this one has something for everyone or not. The protagonist is Alex Cruzan. That’s flnin he relates to Daria who has no friends at school either. Alex is taken to Memorial Hospital for severe cuts and bruises. I felt bad for Alex esspecialy because he had HIV.

The story is told through three different perspectives. I Did love the story so much, I Couldn’t put the book down.
